OKKO BODYWEAR ORIGAMI EVENT

At Taro’s Origami Studio we strive to make every corporate origami class unique.  Often companies have logos or animials that speak to their mission, like when we folded for the Humane Society.  But some clients have a different take, as was the case for our recent folding for Okko, a New York City based bodywear company.

For this event, Okko asked us to try and replicate their actual products, so with the help of our Head Teacher Jeff Raab, Senior Artist Frank Ling set out to design and learn how to fold origami bras and briefs for guests.  After some back and forth with a few different bases, the artists agreed on 2 designs and got to work replicating them.

The event itself was held at the boutique Arlo Soho Hotel.  Guests were permitted to stop by the station with Frank and either learn to fold or request appropriate models on demand.  The tailored models made sure that even though it was a new expericance, guests remained connected to the brand.  Take a look at the photos below to see how it all turned out!
