OrigamiUSA Convention
The Origami USA Convention 2025, an annual gathering of origami enthusiasts from around the world, was successfully held once again this year.
Taro’s Origami Studio participated as a sponsor and had the pleasure of sharing the beauty and joy of origami with countless visitors over four days.
Origami USA is the largest origami organization in the United States. It is dedicated to promoting the artistic, educational, and cultural value of origami. Founded in 1980 and based in New York City, the organization serves as a hub for origami enthusiasts and artists both in the U.S. and abroad.
One of its flagship activities is the Annual Convention, held every June in New York. This event attracts origami creators and fans from all over the globe, featuring hundreds of workshops, lectures, and exhibitions, as well as active exchanges of knowledge and techniques.
Welcoming everyone from beginners to advanced practitioners, the convention is a vital event for the international origami community.

Taro’s Origami Studio’s Participation
Taro’s Origami Studio was once again the lead sponsor of this year’s convention. As in previous years, we also hosted a vendor booth featuring a wide array of popular origami products, books, tools, and accessories.
This year, we additionally held a special live demonstration and sale of triple tissue paper, handmade by Taro himself.
As a sponsor, our studio’s logo was featured in the official convention program and displayed on tables throughout the venue.
We are grateful for the many new connections we made—some visitors recognized our name and approached us for the first time, while others were longtime followers.

Connecting with Visitors
This year, we were especially fortunate to connect with many new participants from Europe, Asia, and South America.
It was a meaningful reminder of how origami can build international bridges.
We had numerous encounters that may lead to future collaborations and events.

About Taro’s Origami Studio
Taro’s Origami Studio is a professional origami studio founded by international origami artist Taro Yaguchi, with locations in both the United States and Japan.
The main studio is based in Brooklyn, New York, with a second studio located in Asakusa, Tokyo. Through its programs, the studio introduces the art of origami to people of all ages, from children to adults.
The studio offers a wide range of programs, from beginner workshops to professional-level origami art and design, expanding the possibilities of origami across education, art, and commercial design.
We also sell original origami kits and books through online platforms like Amazon, helping to spread Japanese traditional culture across the globe.
In addition, the studio engages in large-scale origami installations at corporate events, museums, and hotels, as well as international origami performances and spatial design projects. Our goal is to present origami not just as a craft, but as a cultural experience that transcends folding.
Taro’s Origami Studio also participates in the Origami USA Convention every year, showcasing Japanese origami culture through booth exhibitions and live demonstrations, acting as a bridge between Japan and the international origami community.
