ROI-DNA Website Animation, Classes and Logo Recreation

When ROI-DNA, a digital marketing and website design company in downtown San Francisco first called Taro’s Origami Studio it was only for some lessons.  They had one of our instructors come by their office and teach some fun origami models.  A lot of the staff was able to join, and they folded a few different kinds of models.

After the origami lesson, the company liked the folding and transformation of paper process so much, they invited Taro’s back to work on a few more things.  First they commissioned them to recreate their logo in origami.  You can see their logo here and then the origami interpretation.  This is an original model folded from just one square of traditional origami paper, that uses both side of the paper for the color change in the logo.

Finally, after the logo was created, ROI-DNA returned again to commision an entire origami stop motion video for the very front of their website.  First Taro’s designed a brand new custom origami crane to really show off the amazing things origami can do.  Then, over the course of one full day, Taro’s staff and ROI-DNA staff worked together to fold and create a stop-motion example of what sets their company apart from the competition.  Here a some exclusive behind-the-scenes shots of the work in progress:
