Ben is an origami expert who has been folding since the age of 5, when his mother gave him a dinosaur origami book. Today, with over 25 years of teaching experience, Ben has instructed everyone from infants to grandparents in the art of origami.
Ben specializes in handmade, supercomplex tissue foil models, tessellations, and modulars. His work has appeared in The New York Times, on Vogue.com and in Creased magazine. After running his own Origami company for a few years, in 2011 Ben joined Taro’s Origami Studio as a teacher and helped refine Taro’s Origami Teaching Method. In late 2013 he moved to the Bay Area in California to be the head teacher and manager of Taro’s Origami Studio’s new Oakland location. There, he teaches not only classes and lessons in all levels of origami but serves at field trips, birthday parties, and even origami designs for the corporate world.
